These seats are in the firm German tradition and provide excellent support for long drives. You don’t slide off the seat when cornering hard. The sport seats offer more side bolstering for better lateral support. But the C230 Kompressor hardly warrants the term “base model.” The 2000 C230 Kompressor offers a base price of just $31,750. Two models comprise the C-Class: the C230 Kompressor and the C280. Stir in the Sport option package, and the solid but stolid C230 becomes a sports sedan with acceleration performance just a tick slower than the V6-powered C280. ![]() Last year, Mercedes took the supercharged engine from its SLK230 sports car, dropped it into the C230 and renamed the sedan the C230 Kompressor. Though it doesn’t boast the power, ride quality, handling prowess, interior roominess and modern design found in the more expensive E-Class cars, the C-Class is solid Mercedes-Benz. The coil packs seem to be original, but from experience I wouldn't think it to be a coil pack since its only with acceleration.The C-Class line is the smallest of the Mercedes-Benz sedans available in the U.S. I have changed the spark plugs and did the engine oil change. When accelerating, if I try to take off to get into traffic quickly or am just starting out in the mornings, the car seems to jerks or miss almost sounding like its over revving. When it rains (and since I'm stationed in southeast Georgia it rains a lot!) and I raise, not slide back, my sunroof later on (with droplets still on the glass) I have a stream of water that comes in the car from the S.O.S. I love this car and would hate for it to die out. Any fast assistance with this one would be greatly appreciated. This is puzzling since most of the other forums i've ran across say its from the Cat Converter or AC pully, etc. You can hear it inside the car when you accelerate or are coasting lightly using the gas. Upon acceleration (with my hood up and manually accelerating the engine) I can here a grinding/rattling noise coming from the passenger side of the engine bay. Hi I have had my Kompressor for about 3 months now and love it. ![]()
